Janet Beckerleg

Janet Beckerleg is a Clinical Hypnotherapist with a special interest in Fear – how it is experienced in the mind and the body.  She believes that if we change our fear responses, both mentally and physically, we can grow, and achieve what we want.

Half Cornish and half Malaysian, Janet quickly learned when the family moved to Cornwall in the 1960’s that focussing negatively on difference was due to fear and caused fear.  After moving to Swaziland at the age of 14 and there attending Waterford Kamhlaba school with it’s then 40 different nationalities, she realised that difference could also be celebrated.

Thus her experiences of many cultures has led her to conclude that: “We are all works of art in progress!” She derives great pleasure in helping a client to change their perspective and focus on their own artistry.  She believes in the Collective Unconscious – if we can help eliminate fear in one person, the effects will be felt by many.

Janet completed a BA Hons degree in Psychology at Keele University in 1986.

She is qualified to Practitioner level in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and has a Diploma in Advanced Hypnosis.  She continues to regularly receive training in the latest hypnosis, NLP and stress-related techniques, both in the UK and the United States.

Janet is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the largest organisation of its kind in the world (www.ngh.net)

She is also a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com) and in turn a validated member of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

She is fully insured to practice hypnotherapy in most countries.

Based now in North Wales with practices in Llandudno and Menai Bridge, she also maintains her other clinics in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and in Harley Street, London.
